I can't even feel sorry for this dude...Plaxico equals stupidity

I am sorry ya'll, but Plaxico Burress has my vote for "Idiot of The Year." I mean, i just don't understand it! You have everything that you could want and then you throw it away with one stupid move. yes, i know, i know..."we are all human," and yes, "i have made my own share of mistakes." but this is an ongoing pattern of irresponsible behavior. Peep the breakdown of his antics:

• Oct. 5: Suspended for game against the Seahawks and fined $117.5K after missing a team meeting for "family issues," which he said included having to pick his son up from school.

• Oct. 24: Fined total of $45K for three violations and penalties in a game vs. the 49ers, including verbally abusing an official during the game, "inappropriate" comments about officiating after the game and $5K for throwing a football into the stands.

• Oct. 26: Held out of the first quarter of a 21-14 victory in Pittsburgh after missing treatments for a neck injury.

• Nov. 28: Suffered accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Manhattan nightclub.

There are three issues at hand here that makes Plaxico's stupidity even worse. here are my thoughts:

1. He disrespected his team and made Jerry Reese look stupid - As one of the only African American GMs in the history of the NFL, Mr. Reese convinced those around him that Plaxico deserved a starring role and a starring salary. The man took a chance on Plaxico and this how he repaid him.
   
2. He is forcing Comissioner Goodall and the NY Football Giants to make an example out of him - The NFL PR Machine is hurting bad. First Vick, then Pacman Jones, now this. The media is looking for more reasons to depict black athletes as self loathing, animal hating, childish millionaires who take no responsibility for their actions. Goodall and the Mara Family's hands are forced now. I expect to see him booted from the Giants, the NFL, contract to be cancelled and some possible jail time.
   
3. Clearly he didn't observe how Pacman Jones handled his situation. - Nuff said...

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of listening to one of my favorite sportscasters, Stephen A. Smith. Smith made a great comment about this entire situation. He stated that "if you have to carry a gun into a club to have a good time, you don't need to be in that club." Keyshawn Johnson said something even better. he stated that the NFL has resources for players to have an undercover cop, off duty FBI agent and NFL security to follow them if they feel like they are in a safe environment. All of these guys are licensed to have guns and will stay out of your way while you party. All Plaxico had to do was to make ONE PHONE CALL!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!! I am so sick and tired of mofos saying that they have to keep it real by not walking around with no bodyguards. If you need them, you need them. Simple and plain.

Am I aware that athletes have been the victims of home invasions, gun point robberies and the sort? Yes. But if it gets to that point, you throw your own parties. You keep closer, tight knit circles. You hire professional bodyguards to do your dirty work.

Personally, I really don't think dude shot himself in the leg. This is what I ALLEGEDLY think what happened. Plaxico probably got into with some cat at the Latin Quarters. He probably tried to floss his cash, fame and etc and chumped the wrong dude. That wrong dude then clapped Plaxico as a statement. Pierce, being the loyal homey and teammate took the gun home as a way to get Plaxico out of hot water.

But of course I could be horribly wrong and Plaxico could not know how to handle a fu*king gun. The shi* sounds ridiculous. I can't believe this guy forgot to engage the safety.

And for all of you mofos out there that believe that he is innocent and that he is just being picked on, you really need to check yourself. This isn't about racism or any of that. This is about the issues of one man and the bad choice that he made. If I am completely wrong, I will gladly put up a blogged apology.
