Family,
Well, in less than 72 hours, my first born son will turn one year old. It is an extremely joyous occasion in my household and I have reluctantly with my son's mom that we will have a party for him.
Rather than do the pre-packaged party at some Chuck E Cheese-ish place, we decide to do a party at our townhouse community's clubhouse.
This is for 50 people, 16 kids....
Food - $400
Decorations - -$150
Snacks and Soda - $60
Rental of Clubhouse - $650 - price includes deposit. (We'll get $300 back)
Rental of Clubhouse - $650 - price includes deposit. (We'll get $300 back)
My son's b'day outfit - $30
Cake - $35
Goody bags - $30
Entertainment - $50
All in all we are spending well over a$1200 for a regular party!!
Why am I saying all of this? I was just surprised that something that I thought was cheaper, turned out to be the more expensive option. House parties are freaking expensive!! LOL!!
In any case, it's my son. I don't mind spending the money. BTW...the theme of his party is "Cars!"
